Trying to get my ducks all in a row prior to the possible purchase of a 16" barrel AR with a 1 in 8 twist.
Never had a need for factory 5.56 / .223 ammo till now and until I started doing some looking around I've found like everything else nowadays (I should have known) reloading supplies are scarce and .223 ammo is pretty much nonexistent or higher than a giraffe's butt on stilts when you do find it.
I've got fair amount of .223 brass, SR primers and a couple of suitable powders on hand but I don't have any bullets......I'm not necessarily looking for hunting bullets just good, accurate range bullets that will probably never be shot over 200 yds..
I did about a half hours worth of Googling on 1 in 8 twist .223 bullets and saw several places mention the Sierra #1380 69 gr. BTHP Match King......looks like they are running $107.09 per 500 with free shipping from Midway
Anybody ever try them ?.......any better options ?
