Just finished the 500 round break in of my new Baer. Bank vault tight, accurate as a laser and 100% reliable. It's a keeper.
Colt 9MM New Agent and Colt 9MM Defender with new to me grips !!!!!!

Absolutely Dan Wesson is the best production 1911 short of the semi custom Brown's, Baers, Wilson's and NHC's : )

Wilson and NH have gone full retard on their pricing IMO. Baer is still pricey but I dare someone to shoot the life out of one. DW builds some of the best bang for the buck 1911s I've ever seen. I say this gingerly.... what do the others have that they do not?
Les Baer's are my favorite by far, and for this reason alone. Of course they are built like a tank and can shoot lites out, but what I really love about Baer's is this. I have called the factory 9 different times, and I have talked to Mr. Baer 6 of those times. He was never in a hurry to get off the phone and was always very nice and ready to answer any question I asked.
These are the reasons I'm saving my pennies for another Baer : ) Well, and I have enough DW's ; )
