I’ve had this for awhile. Years ago I installed a C&S trigger shoe, C&S extended thumb safety, a full length stainless guide rod that I ordered off the internet. Today I finally fit the oversized C&S stainless barrel bushing to the slide and barrel. Now I need to see if Novak still makes a set of low mount sights for the old Gov’t 380.

how are those old Colt .380’s? I’ve been looking at Rock Island’s “Baby Rock” and it seems appealing except for the price of magazines. Then of course Llama made one way back when… Colt obviously seems like the popular one until you get into Kimbers Micro .380 and Sigs somewhat similar 238.

This one isn’t too bad, Colt’s production quality wasn’t always great so it varies gun to gun. I’ve got a Llama 32 ACP that is much more 1911-like than the Gov’t 380, but the Llama is definitely rougher internally. It’s been awhile since I’ve shot this one but it ran well from what I remember.

I have a soft spot for baby 1911s. I have some nice Llamas from the 1940s in .32 and 380, plus the Colt 380 Govt and Mustangs, the Browning 1911-22, Star 32s & 380s. The early Llamas are the nicest by far. true 1911 lockwork in 3/4 scale, barrel lockup w/barrel link, good steel walnut grips, nice finish. All the others have different lockwork.

BTW there is a new Llama 380, made in Brazil. Same company as Bersa I think.

I have a full size Llama .45 1911. Technically a clone, not mil-spec. Posted somewhere in this thread… welcome to the forum.
