Can for 2 guns

Thinking about a can for my AR, and thought "why not be able to use it on my 22WMR?" anyone done this?

You definitely could, but rimfire leaves a lot of garbage behind and .223 cans are sealed and will eventually fill up. Plus .223 cans are much heavier than .22 cans which can make them awkward. If I had a .223 can I probably wouldn't shoot much if any .22 through it.

I've been thinking about getting one for my ar. After seeing the proposed legislation for hunting started wondering about getting one I can use on my .270 or .223. Any thoughts about this? Good idea or not?

If you get a .308 can you can probably use it on .270 and .223 no problem. I would ask the manufacturer before hand though to be sure.

That's what I was thinking. Just wondered if I wasn't considering something I should be. It'll be my first can, so not much experience with them. Just shot a few times with a buddies.

I use a 308 suppressor for 308, 6.8, 6.5 Grendle and .223...it works GREAT ask Olyeller!

I have a YHM 308 Phantom QD I use on my AR, AK, Rem 700P, T/C and M1A. It is longer and is 8 oz heaver then the 223 can. I have heared someone was using one on a 300 Win. Mag.

It is a Sure-Fire FA762SS. I went with this cause it is one of the lightest out there for it's size, 19 oz. It is very effective, and as quiet as a dedicated GemTech Halo units when used on .223 carbines!
