I've got a .30 cal SCAR-H SD that's pending my form 4 approval. I've also now got a great opportunity to get a .338 Badger action and stock. I've never wanted to get into the .300wm or the .338LU before because of recoil, but if my can will work with it and reduce a lot of the recoil, I might be interested.
As far as I can find, there is a difference in the diameter of the .308win and .338LU, but is it enough that it won't allow me to use it? Should I have a special can for magnum carteridges due to the increase in pressure/gas coming out of the muzzle?
