I'm kinda curious to see what happens after trudeau leaves office. Will it be like the US, and have a massive swing in the other political direction?
I wonder the same thing. Although I’m thinking everything is too connected and stacked these days to see a swing.

I don't give a rat's ass what they do in Canada. Our government does enough stupid s**t here...I don't have time to worry about governments in other countries.
You may not care about other countries but the antis in our country are taking notes. Look what's happening on the west coast? It's cancer and it's spreading.

This is a cancer on the world, power and control. Like WWII the Nazi spread one country at a time. Fortunately it never works as they are spread thin and collapse like the Roman Empire, are we next?

10s of millions innocent people will die in the process ……..😞

Niemöller’s Quote at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

—Martin Niemöller

Well socialist aren’t the same today as they were back then, your social security is socialism. Really any of the major reglions aren’t the same either. Jesus was a socialist as well. Helping the poor or underprivileged is always right IMO.

I will never see my social security, the major religions all disagree with each other, and more Christians were martyred under socialism than were killed in the previous 19 centuries. The socialist mentioned in the poem are the same devotes of Marx as today, they got what they deserved.

I do agree with helping the poor and underserved tho.

BTW…. That wasn’t socialism that was totalitarianism….JMO

The Catholic Social Teaching is not Socialism. That all human being created in the image of God, that we have a duty to ease the way of others and to help the downtrodden is oppositional to Socialism. Socialism is godless, socialism believes that the individual has no value, that we are merely property of the state. Also socialism (like capitalism) is a materialist ideology, Catholicism is far more concerned with then immaterial. To turn the welfare of the poor to the state would be to abandon ones individual responsibility to do good and thus put ones salvation at risk, this reason was mentioned Saint John Paul II who was adamant in his opposition to socialism. The value of charity does not make one a socialist, just as Catholic Social Justice, is not the same as the "Social Justice" that is used as a mallet by the modern left.

And of course Jesus wouldn't be a bible thumper, the bible had yet to be compiled by the Church Fathers.

U catholic? And I’m not taking about church leadership today. I actually go to many churches it seems customs are an issue. As a Christian I have no issues of many local churches and their people but these so called leaders at the top are businessmen.

What did your church stand up for? Baby killing? Prayers in school? If it feels good and gives you pleasure it’s all good?

Read the Bible…. Matthew is my favorite.
