I've used a Silencerco Sparrow on my Savage .22 rifle. If I use the Quiet Subsonic ammo which I think is about 750 fps, you basically only hear the trigger action and a light pellet gun sound. Anything in the 1130+ range yields a sharp but muffled crack. The good thing about the Sparrow is it can be broken down with 0 tools, scraped out and re-assembled in just 2 minutes. I'm waiting for approval on a Sig Sauer 338 can which I will use on a 6.5 Grendel, 300 winmag and 338 Lapua. Issue to resolve is the only Sig adapter that fits any of my guns is the 5/8-24 on the 300. The Grendel is 9/16-24 and the Armalite .338 is 3/4-24. I don't understand why their proprietary adapter (uses about a 1 1/4 inch threaded end) doesn't come in at least the 3/4-24 for the 338, since that's actually the caliber it was made for. If I have to, I'll use an adapter from the 5/8-24 to X.
