A piece on the news last week said that they are stealing older cars alot more now because of all of the fancy new gadgets on newer autos making their 'jobs' harder to steal them- GPS,alarms,etc- and that some of the scrap yards will take the older cars without titles just for the scrap steel. The newer autos they are still stealing but mostly just to use in crimes and then left behind. If they left stuff behind in yours they were probably just in a big hurry trying to get the scrap metal and not taking the time to ransack. Apparently they were also amateurs and couldnt figure out how to pop your ignition. Thieves suck, especially bad ones who just damage property. Windows suck replacing them too. My old reliable 88' Blazer 4x4 with a Clifford Matrix alarm is usually about the only auto that doesnt get hit when they come along perodically and break into cars on our block. My car and the wifes car stay in the garage. When she did leave hers out once she also left it unlocked and they came along and stole everything out of it. Being in a nice part of town in a small town just outside a big town doesnt matter either.
