Looks like you are all set. Looks good, I had never seen the trigger guards like those, looking them up as we speak...

Those trigger guards snap on; they are a perfect fit. They fit on very tightly. I watched YouTube videos of how various people used them on their carries, just to get some idea. A lot of them have the lanyard attached to their belt so that it pulls loose during the draw. But I rip mine off with my hand as I pull it from the chest band.

Anybody ever see one of these? My grandpa was in Europe in WWII and one of his friends asked him to bring this back for him.

Edit: I put this in this thread because it was my dad's carry. He always kept it loaded in the glove compartment of the car. But he never shot it. It's never been shot, period, to my knowledge. Not since WWII for sure.

The weather permitting, tomorrow I mean to run these two pistols against each other. The S&W 45 against the 9mm short of the WWII German satellite, Hungary. We all know that the 45 is a hard hitter - a real go getter! But what about the Hungarian? It hasn't been shot since WWII. Will it even shoot?

I imagine the Femaru will work just fine. Those small .380 an .32 caliber pistols were known for their reliability due to being a blow-back design, and firing low pressure rounds. I own several of these type pistol's, some being over 100 years old an they work just fine, with probably being fired more in the last ten years or more than they ever saw in their first 50 years. I know that my two Colt pistols (1903 in .32acp, an 1908 in .25acp) both built in 1912 have had over 300 rounds through them in the last five years with no sign of wear to either. Most of my .380acp guns are newer than these but have had substantially more rounds than those already listed for the other two and still show no wear other than holster wear to the outside of them.
Some of my small guns;

Some of them showing just how accurate they can be; 25yds standing, no rest.

No fair using the BDA. All-around, one of the best 380's ever made. Wish I had mine back. Oh, wait a minute. I think I've said that a few times before.

The FN140/BDA380 along with the Beretta 81/84 are some of the best .32acp/.380acp pistol's made. Almost a full four inch barrel, 13+1 capacity makes them into the same class as most full size 9MM pistol's. Due to there barrel length this gives the .380 an .32 calibers the best performance in terms of velocity which also increases their terminal performance. Mechanical performance of these pistol's is top notch. Of the BDA I have and other's I've owned an of those owned by others I've never heard of one of these ever having malfunctioned unless it was due to the ammunition used.

The WWII Hungarian fared terribly. I did not even complete one seven round magazine through it. Total fail. Started off OK, but not for long...

Every other round was a missfeed. Although it ejected fine, and hit the target, it was a jammo-matic.

It was easy enough to clear and get back into action, but the missfeeding continued. Ultimately I did not even finish firing the magazine. Total fail.

I have never fully trusted semi-autos, but I have fired exactly 200 rounds through the M&P without a single anomaly. This is a big pistol, but it has functioned flawlessly.

I keep posting the pics of the actual firing because I figured some of ya'll might find it interesting. The brass really gets flung out there. There is no problem during any of the sequences whatsoever.
