I wish my uncle hadn't sold his 71 roadrunner. It was a 383 with a Hurst 4 speed. Some guy was randomly driving down the road and saw the rear end of it underneath the cedar tree it was under. Guy stopped and offered my uncle $2,000 for it and he took it. So if anyone knows Jerry layman he may still have it. Hope it went to a good home.

1996 Impala SS. Murdered out. Full Hotchkis suspension, Baer brake upgrade. I hated to sell it, it was a head turner. A guy drove up from Dallas with a handfull of $100 bills and I did the right thing and took them.

Two vehicles I most likely will not get rid of.

The first is a 1976 Ford Courier that I keep at our place in New Mexico. Looks rough, but runs great and the grand kids love learning to drive a stick shift and cruising up & down the back roads. Also very handy for bouncing around the place. Has done a bunch of work. Also, RockAuto still has many parts available for the old pickup.

The second is a 1993 Ford Ranger. Purchased from my Neighbor 4 years ago with 112,000 miles on it. Runs great and we use it for a daily driver to keep miles off our other vehicles. The A/C compressor went out a while back. I need to replace that, but otherwise in great mechanical condition.

These older vehicles are lot easier to maintain and work on.

There have been plenty including my first car a 69 Camaro. This was the latest I sold a couple months ago that hurt bad just days after it left. Guess not everything I own is for sale at the right price.

Today if I had all the old cars I sold I would be filthy rich. In order of year.
I had other cars I could care less about like mid 70's cobra mustangs.
56 Bel Air.
61 cadillac.
65 Galaxie 500.
66 Mustang.
67 Newport Custom.
69 Mustang.
69 Camaro ss.
70 New Yorker
71 Torino
72 Chevelle.
72 Cutlass S.
72 Nova.
72 Nissan 240 Z.
73 Mustang.
74 Torino.
76 280ZX
77 Delta 88 Indy Pace car. Look that thing up.
78 Nova. Stupid fast for a work car with trailer hitch 0-60 under 3 seconds 176 MPH in 3/4 mile.
1981 280 ZX

Many of those I had were 1 owner and I was the second owner.
Many of them were show room clean.
I was a fool.. But I did drive them and then sold them when I was pulled over and asked if they were for sale.

I sold my 1947 Dodge truck when I was 19 or 20 and I have it back now.
NOT FOR SALE. I have been offered over $35,000 for it.. Not for sale.

Many of the cars in the list I have were purchased way cheap. Most expensive one was $900

A fool and his cool cars are soon parted.

I regret selling my 1969 Chevelle SS 396 4 Speed, it was an L88 Option, Butternut Yellow with Black Vinyl Roof, Black Interior. An absolutely beautiful, looking, sounding and running car. I bought it brand new from Davis-Child Chevrolet in Hutchinson Kansas in July of 1969. I paid $3,600 for it. Sold it in 1972. What an idiot I was. I will always miss that car and wish I could have it back.

The same years I owned the Chevelle SS I also owned a 1964 Impala SS 409 4 speed, Black with Red interior and very fast, very very fast. It was actually faster than the SS Chevelle. I had an accident that totaled the 409 and was lucky to survive. I was wild and crazy during those times. Now I'm just crazy, not wild.

I also regret selling a couple of others as well; my '55 Chevy Belair 2 door Post and a 1944 War Year Ford Pickup. The pickup had a vin tag that was stamped Dept of U.S. Navy. I owed the '55 the start of my Junior year in HS. A really sweet ride that never ever gave me any problems. Started every day and always brought me home.

The war year Ford pickup was a cool ride. Around 71/72 I found it driving down the alleys of Hutch looking for old pickup trucks. Hell of a find, I paid 40 bucks for it. Put a new battery in it and drove it around town for about 2 1/2 years. My dad sold it while I was out of country doing the things that scare the sh*+ out of most people.

Nowadays, we have a nice Caddy SRX, a Silverado, and a Classic Formula F233 (one of the first Cigarettes). I still want that SS 396 back.

Built 68 mustang that had pac man eating bow ties on both doors and yes it ate it's fair share of bowties. Been sometime but IIRC, crane cam, elderbrock intake, holly 650 double pumper, Mallory dual point dist and plenty of machine work it was a combination of 289/302. Plus the tranny work.
