Cast bullets in 45 AR / ACP

I use to shoot a LOT of round balls in a 30 carbine, built like my long barreled 45 Auto Rim, and I believe it was actually quieter than a mouse fart! Out to 30 to 40 yards or so, stray cats had absolutely nothing good to say about it!

I have also chambered several 22 Hornet in my barrel liners, and loaded with match grade .22 caliber pellets, once you have the brass, you can load a hundred rounds for about the same cost as good 22 long rifle ammo, and for squirrel and rabbits, there good out to around 50 yards.

It's not recommended to shoot really heavy bullets, like 300 gr ones, in a 1911. Word is they will do nasty thing to barrel lugs.
