Catalytic Converter Theft

Has any one had their catalytic converter stolen?
How big a risk is it in Oklahoma? Plenty of stories on online about this problem.
Internet says F150's and Honda Elements and Priuses are at greatest risk due to ease of access.

They contain precious metals. Platinum, palladium, and another that escapes me. Usually worth a couple hundred to a metal dealer.

BLM’s office near 15th and I-44 had the CC’s stolen off three of their vehicles last summer due to construction crews leaving open the gates on the security fence, with a sawzall blade broken off in the exhaust system of a fourth vehicle.

The advanced theives use chain pipecutter instead of a sawall.....much less noise....5 minutes in and out

My teenagers car got hit last year. Well lit parking lot at a busy fitness center. Several hundred to have replaced. Right before Christmas too. Hope the damn thief had a merry Christmas
