This. And I've mostly heard of them hitting car lots rather than individuals. You never know who's awake at a home (or maybe their neighbors).

Yep, none of my vehicles have one.
The ones that did have one once, soon got the catalytic converter delete option by me.
Engines run better without them too.
Coworker had one sawed off in the front parking lot at work during broad daylight not far from 41st and Memorial here in Tulsa. Busy area and it was GONE.
It is bad around here i know that the city public works yard got hit twice and got 3 or 4 each time.

The F-150s, Elements, CRVs, and Priuses are more commonly hit because of the price they fetch. The Prius' converters(pair) bring around $1200, the CRV/Element bring $700ish, and the F-150 can be around $1000 or more for the pair depending on the year. Converter theft is common in Tulsa- any car left on the side of the road is going to be missing a converter within a couple of hours and there are groups of converter thieves that drive around looking for easy targets.
