Went to the range yesterday and ran several loads through the Chronograph and also tested for accuracy. Here's what I came up with. All 9mm was ran through a Glock 17 and the .45 through a STI Spartan. Each string was 10 shots. G17 - Lone Wolf Barrel - 147gr J&K LFN - CCI Primer - 1.10 COL - 3.4gr Titegroup - Average Velocity 945 - PF=138,915 G17 - Lone Wolf Barrel - 147gr J&K LFN - CCI Primer - 1.10 COL - 3.2gr Titegroup - Average Velocity 908.2 - PF=133,505 Both groups were tight and recoil was a tad snappy however, very smokey. G17 - Lone Wolf Barrel - 147gr J&K LFN - CCI Primer - 1.10 COL - 3.2gr Solo 1000 - Average Velocity 856.3 - PF=125,876 G17 - Lone Wolf Barrel - 147gr J&K LFN - CCI Primer - 1.10 COL - 3.4gr Solo 1000 - Average Velocity 884.3 - PF=129,992 3.2gr load shot high, 3.4gr was pretty tight. These seemed to be the most snappy and 2nd in smoke behind TG. G17 - Lone Wolf Barrel - 147gr J&K LFN - CCI Primer - 1.10 COL - 2.7gr Clays - Average Velocity 843.7 - PF=124,023 G17 - Lone Wolf Barrel - 147gr J&K LFN - CCI Primer - 1.10 COL - 2.9gr Clays - Average Velocity 865.1 - PF=127,169 By far softest shooting and least smokey. 2.9gr shots were all high and 2.7gr were closer but a bit high. Would be a nice load if it could be dialed in, will try some @ 2.8gr G17 - STOCK Barrel - 147gr Hornady FMJ - CCI Primer - 1.15 COL - 3.4gr Titegroup - Average Velocity 914.7 - PF=134,460 This load through an M&P Pro made 132,594 PF This is my standard IDPA load, accurate and on the softer side. I think I will try a 3.2gr TG load and see how that is. G17 - STOCK Barrel - 124gr Montana Gold CMJ - Wolf Primer - 1.13 COL - 4.0gr Titegroup - Average Velocity 1076.50 - PF=133,486 Accurate and on the upper end of mild. I plan to take this to 1.15 COL and 3.8gr of TG. STI - Stock - 230gr J&K LRN - Wolf Primer - 1.25 COL - 3.8gr Clays - Average Velocity 773.9 - PF=177,997 STI - Stock - 230gr J&K LRN - Wolf Primer - 1.25 COL - 4.0gr Clays - Average Velocity 786.9 - PF=180,987 Both of these were nice accurate loads and not too smokey. I had been shooting 4.0gr but plan to move down to 3.8gr on my next batch.
