How tough is getting a armed security cert? Not police, just security. My FIL is looking into it.
not hard at all.... theres a school in moore called SOR that has classes all the time....

It's not bad. The local vo-tech had the shooting portion of their classes at H&H when I worked there. If your FIL does not know how to shoot, take him and teach him yourself and tell him to disregard EVERYTHING they teach at the class.
Me and the instructor went round and round and round about whether he was gonna teach is "recruits" how to check for a squib load or to check the barrel after any type of misfire ... He was teaching them to look down the barrel of a loaded gun ... yeah ... I nearly fainted dead away ...

IMHO it is too easy sometimes.
I agree, over the last 10yrs. they have dumbed down all the curriculum including the firearms portion.
SOR is a great school, i have spent around 500 hours in class there this year. As far as difficulty, its a joke.
SOR will probably be his best bet. The guy who runs/owns the school is retired OHP and is a nice guy.
Paul Gordon is one of the nicest guys I have ever met, just don't piss him off. I almost didn't go there but it would have been a big mistake if I hadn't
