Where I grew up in Ohio, the Sheriff didn't like to sign the forms. But the County Prosecutor made the case that he was also in law enforcement, and signed almost every form he got, with one stipulation: He got to shoot it first. :)

I hope this does happen. As a citizen of rogers county most everybody knows our sheriff "doesnt believe in" class 3 items whatsoever. I would have to go the trust route.

I have been in Tulsa for about 20 years and have never been able to get anyone to sign for me. Now I find out the TPD chief Jordan will sign but it sounds like that requirement might go away. It is about time! I think I will still use the trust because I like the benefits they have for estates.
