Evidence of wrong doing by Remington looked pretty clear to me. The kid was behind the trailer, the Mother didnt point the barrel at her son while unloading.

EXACTLY!

3 Rules to gun safety... the first one just so happens to be:
1. ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.

I don't know at what point she thought her son was a safe direction, especially with a loaded weapon.

im gonna go out on a limb here and say that you didnt watch the thing. she never pointed the gun at him.

they were on their ranch, working, and were on horses. they pulled up to the trailer, her son jumped off his horse, unknown to his mom, and went around the trailer. she was on the horse, and went to unload the rifle. the old style r700 requires you to throw the safety off before pulling bolt back. when she through the safety off, the gun went off, and went through the trailer and into her sons abdomen killing him.
