Cochlear Implants??

Some interesting news concerning my hearing impairment is in the offing. On August 20, I go to a hearing center in Enid to be evaluated for a possible cochlear implant. That is a device that is surgically implanted behind the ear and if I go that route there is a very good chance that I can have normal hearing or very close to it. The audiologist will have to adjust the external device until it is right, but that is a price I can live with.

I know a couple of folks that have this, and they are very pleased with the results.

Nope; never did. It has kept me from the military and this was during the Viet Nam war when they needed people badly. I wish I could have served in some capacity.
