Been through Montrose. Seems like a real neat area. We drove through in early November and there were big signs all over town saying "Welcome Hunters". Good luck on the hunt.

Finally starting to get excited for this hunt. After applying for 13 years the reality of drawing didn't really set in till the outfitter contacted me for our deposit and we started talking equipment. We are paying an outfitter to set up a drop camp and ride us in horseback, no guides just a drop camp. I'm too damn old (even at 41) to be packing 60lbs of gear up to 11,000 feet. Yes I could do it, would it be fun....big negative. LOL. Worth the $$$$ IMO.
