A few years ago, I bought (on an impuluse) a Colt Concealed Carry Government Model. Never carried it but it does have some super thin rosewood grips on it making it thinner than my other 1911's.

When I got the gun, it looked like Colt used water colors for the finish so I had it cerakoted. When I get it back from Wilshire (doing a trigger job on it) I may carry it in a belt slide.

OK I just spent a few minutes researching used stag horn grips and have decided that when the time comes, fake stag horn looks pretty good. Holy crap! The real ones have gone up in price! Last time I bought a pair was about 35 years ago. I bought them for $20. I expected maybe $50, not $130 up.

Well, imitation stag horn grips will look exactly like that; imitation.

Rick, did you pull the trigger on these?
I ended up trading a friend for a pair of them.

One of those looks familiar lol. Are those the grips from ebay on the full size? I like them. I'm wondering how they'd look on mine.
Yes those grips are the same as the ones on ebay. I traded for them and they have a small chip at the top, but I like them. They look good and have some texture to them for grip.
