Update: So I went to the range, (friends property), with a cousin (who is also a neighbor to the property & he helps keep things clean out there) to shoot my new AR pistol, & guess who shows up just as we were getting ready to enter thru the gate, the object of the topic MS. We chatted for a couple minutes & then I just said we should go on in to the range. I had a 4 guns with me, my cousin had 2, & MS brought his Canik TP9sfx. I told myself to be extra aware of his demeanor & actions, so I took extra care in paying attention to how he treated his firearm & the others, how &/or when his muzzle was facing when others were around. And I was pleasantly surprised, he definitely has much more respect & care for firearms than he did about 4 to 5 years ago. & without going into too much more detail, I think he is going to be alright. Just going to keep coaching as time goes on.
