HOA can be a nightmare. I had a condo once and they just kept raising the fees until it didn’t make sense to own the thing.

Been in two HOAs. I got elected to be Prez in one and was unable to disband it unsuccessfull. I had to quit due to med issues. We moved and never again will live in an HOA controlled neighbor. 6 months after we moved it was disbanded.
