Controlling Groundhogs / Woodchucks

There's not any Mountain Lions in Oklahoma either, and we all know how that turned out.

We had a wood chuck in our yard a few years back. Called the ODW local office an talked to a biologist. He said there is a few reports of them on Kaw lake. I just live a few miles south of there.

There's woodchucks all over eastern OK. I see them at my deer lease in Cherokee County all the time. Also see a bunch on the side of the road between Okay and the dam.

I even see them at work in the Port of Catoosa property quite a bit.

Had no idea they were a cryptid animal to some of you. Ha.

I ain't seent one with my own eyes so I don't beleeve they are here.

I clearly stated I was willing to take the word of those who have the experience of seeing the critters.

I saw a picture of one in a friend's yard in a stand off with the house dog 2 years ago in Cushing.

For those skeptical about Groundhogs in NE Oklahoma, I said I would post a picture of the first one I shot and here it is...

Yep. Sho 'nuff. I never realized we had them over there till you brought it up. Hey, I'm still young enough to learn sumpthin'! If you need any help with them critters, let me know!

Have a few that hang around our yard here at Grand Lake but they have never bothered our garden. Seem to love clover but don't care for the veggies. Only had to kill one that was determined to make a burrow under my shop slab.
