Hungry this morning? Well come have. A seat at the table

It’s a little cold and rainy here at the homestead in okie land. So what better way to start the day and carry you thru than home made biscuits and sausage gravy

Biscuits are just self rising flour, cold butter cut in and whole milk. Sorry no buttermilk on hand. Baked in a pre heated 375 degree oven for around 25 minutes.

Sausage gravy is one pound of your favorite breakfast sausage cooked then add in 2-3 healing tablespoons of seasoned flour, salt, black pepper and a little smoked paprika for a kick.

When the flour has been cooked in and all the sausage has a coating of flour add in 1 cup of chicken stock, unsalted, and cook until the gravy starts to thicken then add in 1/2 cup whole milk and 1/2 cup cream. Use all milk if you don’t have cream I had to use some cream since it expired today so in it went.

Cool over medium heat and stir until it thickens to however you like it but it at least needs to coat the back of a spoon, adjust your seasoning. I normally add in a lot more freshly cracked black pepper

After biscuits have rested for 5 minutes move a few to a plate and pull them in half or break into pieces. However you like to it.

Ladle over sausage gravy and enjoy.

Leftovers can be served next meal over scrambled eggs. Mmmmmm mmmmm

I love spam sliced thin and fried crisp with mayo on cheap white bread. If I have tomato I'll add some.
I love it friend and on whole wheat with melted cheddar and all the fixins. Also good diced in scrambled eggs, fried with over easy eggs, sliced thin between two slices of good cheese in a grilled cheese, cut into sticks and fried then in a soft tortilla with green sauce, cheese, onion, etc.

Yea I like Spam, but I will pass on trying Spam chili.

Man o man, I wish I had been there! I had restaurant biscuits and sausage gravy this morning, and it certainly was not that good. Biscuits were not even fresh!

I'm a biscuits and gravy conisure from way back! I can't indulge this addiction as often as I would like, now that I'm no longer working it off. My favorate place to eat biscuits and sausage gravy is, believe it or not, McDonald's! I think they use hot sausage, in this, and it is really good!

I haven't had McDonald's B&G in a long time, but I have Braum's every now and then. It's pretty good. Maybe I should try McD's again!
