No pictures but we went to Birrieria Diaz last night in Bethany across the street from the college. There was another post a few months back from V98 recommending it too. It's LEGIT! I had the quesabirria tacos with lamb and it was great. Incredible amount of meat and the consome for dipping is ingenious. Rice is a little different than what my wife makes - she said they use short grain rice whereas she uses long grain so it's a little dry/crispy instead of fluffy.

Wife had the sopa de lima and it was really good and came in a HUGE bowl! Total for the 2 of us including a beer each was $45 before tip and we each brought home enough for lunch today.

Staff was very friendly except one girl who just looked like she wasn't having a great day. Lucky for us she just sat us down but wasn't our waitress. Already looking at the menu to see what we'll try next time!

I will have to try this place but from looking at the pics, It doesnt look to me to be as good as Tacos Don Nachos. I know pics dont describe taste but presentation says alot in any restaurant. Try Don Nachos and tell us what you think. Its on about SW 38th and Council across from the Hobby Lobby complex.

Know where it's at just haven't ever stopped in. You've raved about the lengua tacos. I'll mention to the wife for next time. Yeah, can't judge by pictures. Their website seems outdated and I believe they have been in this location for a long time. Great value too IMO - 3 lamb tacos with consome is $11.50 if I remember right. I added beans/rice so around $16. No way I could've finished it all without being miserable.

Yes. Got sick and tired of fast food 2x or 3x a day. I'm working on a Sous Vide plan too so I don't have to cook from frozen/raw either. Got a bunch of chicken quarters I sous vided last time I was home. Tossed them in the truck freezer and then i just thaw one and sear it up in a pan. Have had 2 of them. Didnt come out half bad.
I also tried Sous Vide but my issue is with the texture on any meat except maybe some fish. The flavor and tenderness is great, just the texture. Almost always have to do as you did and finish in a pan or grill to make it more appealing. I need to try some new recipes so that hundred dollar water heater doesn’t just collect dust.
