Tried it out this morning......many thanks for the inspiration - tasty indeed.

Had 3/4 of Jimmy Dean mild in the fridge. Made a nice little roll out of it and dusted it with Oakridge sweet rib rub. Tossed it on the smoker at around 225F with a chunk each of pecan & apple wood. After an hour, drizzled with som Mrs. Buttersworth (all I had in the cabinet). After another 30 minutes, flipped it and drizzled syrup on it again. 30 minutes later I hit an internal temp of 167F and pulled it off.

Good stuff.

I’ve got some Jimmy Dean and a half slab of ribs on the Traeger, low and slow with a smoke tube going.
Just the wife and I. Don’t think we are even going out to watch fireworks at the lake.

My wife bought a instapot pressure cooker, we gave it a whirl with a deer roast and some veggies. Did pretty well, cooked the roast for an hour, then added veggies and cooked another 10 minutes. Everything was good. Only thing I’d do over is cook the roast another 10-15 minutes before I added veggies.
