They are not wrong.I want a smoker so bad but I would have to get an electric because of being on O2. They will not even let me use my gas grill anymore.
Yep. I will not even try sharpening my swords because of the sparks. Some day I will find a cheap electric smoker and grill. They are not wrong.
O2 itself isn't flammable, but when it seeps into items that do burn (hair, clothing, etc.), it increases the flammability of those items almost beyond belief. O2 saturated cloth can be almost explosively ignited with sparks (I've personally seen this demonstrated).
Stay safe.

This one is charcoal, but you have light it, and then it runs like a pellet smoker/grill it has a hopper to add your charcoal and wood chips. I understand being on O2. My mother is also, she lite this one, but she still smokes like a freight train. It is called a Masterbuilt Gravity Series 560. They make 2 bigger ones, but it's just me and my wife, didn't need a big one.I want a smoker so bad but I would have to get an electric because of being on O2. IMO, you should try to caution her if possible. My oldest brother died of COPD, and still smoked as long as he could. He actually blistered his face once by lighting a cigarette while on O2 (using a nasal cannula).I understand being on O2. My wife and I and my sister have all told her, but she doesn't listen. When father was still at the house, fell asleep with a cigarette in his mouth with his oxygen on, and thank God it only burnt the hose and his chest hair off. He was lucky. Shortly after that, we had to put him in a nursing home.IMO, you should try to caution her if possible. My oldest brother died of COPD, and still smoked as long as he could.
