Anybody eyeing up a new carry strategy, albeit holster swap, carry position, or firearms now that cooler weather is on our doorstep?

I figure I NEED a new cool weather gun...... All my other EDCs have grease on them, surely they will freeze up and not be reliable. Must find a new gun soonest, less I be unable to protect my herd!!

Seriously though, I love cooler weather, get to break out a 1911 in an OWB holster and that makes me happy.

Same. I tend to carry in a Bravo Concealment OWB when it gets cold

I carry the same almost all year. When its real hot I drop down to a G42 in a Serpa or in the pocket.

Honestly I have just been looking forward to wearing a sweatshirt or heavyweight tee to help conceal. I seem to have a problem during the summer as the wind tends to shrink-wrap my shirts around my pistol in appendix. I love my Bravo concealment OWB holster for my CZ, but now they only seem to cater to Glocks and 1911s. Super disappointed, as I finally found a holster I like and they cut their options. Definitely eyeballing that as a change for cooler weather.

I'll go from mostly pocket carry back to a shoulder holster. Mostly... :D

I carry the same year round, 1911 or XDM OWB. In winter the coat conceals it, in summer it's open depending how I dress.

For me it's more of a caliber change then a size change. Glock 19 or a SIG P229/226 9MM in the summer to a Glock 23 SIG P229 in .40/357 in the fall or spring. Winter is a Glock 21-30S .45 or a 1911 in .45 or 10MM. All in a IWB holster.
