Well first you malt it then dry it using peat and make a very tasty whisky with it.

Used for another drink too I believe. I seem to remember the German beer purity law required it to be made from nothing but water, malt, barley and hops.

There ya go. I was waiting on that response. Most beers have barley involved in the fermenting process as well.

The malt in yer malts at Braum's (or wherever) is made from malted barley.
