Corvair was at the Yukon "Cruise for a Cause" last Thursday.
My first car was a 1960 pea green 4 door corvair.
The only thing I ever really liked about it was how fast the defroster and heater got hot from the catalytic gas burner heater. I had a Lear Jet 4 track top loader car stereo and 3 tapes, 3 Dog Night, Shades of Deep Purple and Hendrix Are you experienced. I got grounded alot and spent more time sitting in it listening to the tape deck or late night AM radio rock than actually driving it.
That car at Mechum auction now probably worth some $

Dad had 3 of those over the years, last one was 5th from last off the line, he hated Ralph Nader for getting the corvair line ended. They look pretty sharp lifted, wouldn't mind one for a project but they've gotten pretty high.
I think they live nearby. I won't say exactly where.
