Covering media polishers?

Any reason you can think of to not put an upside down tote over the brass polishers to keep dust completely localized?
Only possibility I can think of is heat...it might get hot in there.

I've covered mine with a rubber bin before and checked it periodically. It didn't get very hot, certainly not any hotter than running it in a garage on a summer day.

I put an old pillow case over mine.

I have covered mine at times when it is foggy or drizzling rain since i have to set it on the porch to run it.

On my Lyman Turbo 1200, I put a 9" styrofoam plate over the spindle, put the lid on and screw it down. It eliminates the problem with dust and works like magic.

I use one of my wife's clothes dryer sheets.

Is there something wrong with the lids to these polishers or am I missing something?!
