Anyone have any idea what these are worth? Bill told me he's only made about a dozen of these. I've never seen one in the wild or for sale, so I'm curious if they are even sought after or really known to exist. EDIT: I forgot I posted this in 2010. Coye himself with some information about this knife https://www.okshooters.com/threads/ops-coye-knives-benefit-raffle-wounded-warriors-project.107245/
Interesting. I like Coye stuff. I just have the Ridgeback after the “other company” started making it. Is he still making knives? I thought I’d heard he’d officially sold off his designs/retired or moved onto something else. I’d like to see a picture or two, even if for nothing else than just seeing rarity.
He sold his designs to Boker, but from what I've heard, he still makes a limited number from his own shop.
I have an original ridgeback from when he was making them. Cool knife, I was in a tool store in Tulsa one day about a year or so ago and saw a guy with a Coye knives shirt on and it turned out to be bill, nice guy
I think the only design he sold to Boker were the Ridgeback and Oscar Mike. I remember seeing the Alpha Echo for sale a long long time ago, before Coye became real popular. I happen to win one in a raffle that Bill did for the Wounded Warrior Project. I won it early in my LEO career, so I'm guessing 10 years ago. Attached are my Coye’s, the AE and a 2011 RB.
You've been a flatfoot for over 10 years now?! My God...where have the years went. Seems like just yesterday you were my young protege. You have learned well, grasshoppa. I'll "celebrate" 30 years in this crazy bizness this June. Damn I feel old.
Yeah, unfortunately. It’ll be 12 years this August. It’s a shame I didn’t start at a department on the pension; I’m only 7 years in. 30 years is a longggg time... I mean, I’m only 35. It does seem like just yesterday doesn’t it, when I was dropping by to visit you all the time coming home from Ada.
Yup. Hopefully with spring break coming up in a few weeks, we can come to T-town, get a hotel and you guys can come over and the Elis can swim while we shoot the breeze. Can't wait to meet the wife. Sorry for the thread hijack.
Ef9 thanks for the pics. Very nice knife! Sorta has a resemblance to the Nimravus. No idea of it’s worth, but gotta be several hundred at least I would think. I’ll starting the bidding for ya: $1!
