I did the Atkins diet a few years ago. It was meat and green vegetables only. No carbs, that’s no pasta, bread, sugar, potatoes, etc. I went from 260 to 185 over about 6 months with little to no exercise. I’m 6’3” and I looked like a stick at 185. I had to reintroduce carbs back into my diet because I couldn’t stop losing weight. When carbs were introduced, I started craving them and it was downhill from there.

In other words, you cannot eat enough meat to stay alive. I was going to all you can eat rib night and never felt satisfied with the amount I ate. I was always wanting more but couldn’t physically eat more.

Back in 2014 and 2015 my friends and I got into a regular habit of going to the Riverwind casino buffet on Friday nights. All you can eat crab legs and other buffet items for $25+tax.

I am imagining that even if they charge more now, I bet the quality just isn't as good in this post-2020 world we live in.
They quit doing that long before Covid.
It became all you can eat "seafood" buffet and you can buy clusters of crab legs on top of it if you want crab.

Here, but occasionally There.
Had a rare occurrence Sunday at noon. Went to lunch with our youngest son after we got back from Texas. He wanted to go try an Asian restaurant (all of which I NEVER go to) so that he could try out their buffet. I picked around and found a few things that I thought I might like, but nope, none of it impressed me.

What did impress me was the size of bowls of crab legs that one or two ladies carried back to their table. Then I found out that there was very little to eat in each "leg," thus leading them to heap up the bowls to get a decent amount of "meat."

I'll pass. And, if anyone suggests Asian food again, I'll insist on being dropped off at Denny's or IHOP.

That is how I feel about Mexican food. It all tastes like it came out of a frozen food delivery truck. Every single place serves the same warmed over stuff.

The amount of work it takes to eat snow crab legs means you can sit there for hours nibbling at it. You might even be calorie net zero when it's all done lol.
