Fawk that noise. I could not deal. I've done long days in the heat coupled with a long drive many times and I want a/c, a beer, good food, and quiet. FWIW I have 3 grandparents over 88 that take care of themselves and I bet they're in worse shape than this woman. My 88 year-old grandma lives alone and only calls when she needs a ride to the ER and apologies the whole way there for being a burden (she's not). If she's got a nice apartment she needs to go there. She can get an in-home nurse or something. 1/4 mile away, your wife can go visit. It's great and admirable and respectable to take care of family, but there is a line and it's somewhere in front of your chair grandma plops her ass in when you get off work. Your home is for yourself and your wife to be comfortable in and have a relationship with each other. Anyone else is a guest and should act like one or not expect to be invited back. Edit: I guess you could always grab a key to grandma's nice apartment and go stay there.
