i've used a dehydrator for years, use it for drying brass too LOL any quality machine will do the job, i'm using a Nesco right now and have been for several years. i'd like to get one of those freeze dryers, but you're talking Nighthawk Custom price, i'd rather have the Nighthawk

So just dehydrate like mushrooms by slicing into medallions and then rehydrate in water when you want to cook them ?
