My daughter had a teacher that didn’t even recognize her after most of a school year when she went to say hi at Walmart this Spring. Sad…

Current state law bans mask mandates.
TPS isn't "mandating" mask but they are making it an "expectation" that all staff and students will wear a mask.
I'm sure any teacher/staff or student that declines to wear a mask won't be punished for not wearing a mask but rather they will be penalized for not meeting "expectations".
Gist and her skunk stripe has decided that she doesn't have to pay attention to the legislature when they enact the will of their constituents.

You guys remember when the teachers went on strike a few years back for higher wages and as a result they passed the internet sales tax bill?

Expect them to win on this issue as well. Voters in OK always seem to side with education/teachers, regardless of party, even when these public schools are churning out nitwits who are going to run the state someday and turn it blue.

This really a more of a subset of republicans are anti mask and they call anyone for them a liberal or rino.

Superintendents making mask mandates don’t violate state law. The state law forbid school boards from mandating them. As such, it’s trivial to get around the law.
