I was looking for a new cordless circular saw and ran across this deal. Right now, at Lowes, if you buy a 6 1/2" Dewalt cordless saw at an already discounted price ($129), you get a 5 amp hour battery free! The battery itself sells for $179, so it's like buying the battery cheap and getting the saw for free. I just bought one awhile ago and couldn't be happier!

No charger, just the battery. I had 2 chargers already though and didn't need another.

5 friggin amp hour battery! I expected them to cheap out and give 2 AH or something.

I buy 1 new tool a year. Batteries are super expensive , I buy a pack of these every year and they work great. This is a good time to buy lithium batteries before the shortages. JMO

The way I read the ad is "In-use/lifestyle image - Battery and charger not included"
$348 for saw, battery, charger, and bag.
What am I missing?

I long ago committed to Ryobi for cordless tools. Have several along with batteries and chargers. Don't really want to start down another road, but it is a hell of a deal.

Does it come w/a battery and also the 5amp? This is the downfall of living way out in the country. They will not ship to my home.

I stared with the drill, 2 Amp battery, and basic charger @99 and went from there.
The giant limb that fell on the house was cut up with my Dewalt 12” bar chainsaw. I actually use it gathering dead wood camping, very quite.

BTW - that deal is good on other Dewalt cordless saws as well.

ETA: the reciprocating saw that is.
