Agreed, it is a bad choice and has the POTENTIAL to land you in prison, but it's not a foregone conclusion. There is a chance that you're doing the right thing and good will come of your actions. But the risk is high and the penalty is steep if you're wrong. In the split second an SDA license holder has to determine who's right and who's wrong, you're betting your freedom on your decision. Do nothing and stay free, or do something and maybe go to jail - and at the least, spend time in cuffs. I am specifically talking about the scenario in the video here. Either way, good choice or bad, the very moment you pull that trigger you change the trajectory of your life for YEARS. Even if you're right. There will be financial, emotional and legal consequences that MUST be paid after that moment. It's hard enough to defend your actions when you're the victim. imagine how hard it would be to defend them as an intervening bystander. I will also say this: If there is an active shooter scenario in a building where I am located and people are being shot or shot at, I will do my best to stop those active shooters if I can. I may die trying, I may not even wound the assailant before I am killed, but by God I'm going to try. I refuse to be executed while lying on the floor helplessly begging for my life. Nope. Not gonna happen. As long as there is breath in my lungs and ammo in the weapon in my hand, I'm going to try to either kill them, or keep them from killing others.
