I have an armadillo in the yard that I've seen almost every day for the last week during the DAY time. Usually anywhere between 10 am and 4 pm.

I've never seen one in the yard during daylight before.

You can't run him off, if anything he might jump and run a couple of steps and stop. I've scared them before and seen them sprint across the road into the woods, but this one hardly reacts at all and just looks at you even if you kick him.

I'm thinking there might be something wrong with him. Does this sound like normal diller behavior?

I kicked one earlier this week, (not in my yard).
It jumped a foot & a half in the air, then went about 3 feet & turned & looked at me & hissed.
Then I went back to work.

During colder seasons it is very common for armadillo to be out in the sunshine. You can use a couple 2x10 placed in a "V" with a box trap at the point of the "V" to catch it. Otherwise a 22-250 oughta do the trick. Other calibers will work but won't be as graphic.
