Yup. A single diller will wreck a yard as fast as a group of wild hogs...the holes just won't be as deep. I blast their ass every chance I get too.
I have about four that hang out...most of the time there's only one. I'm waiting for my yard to be wrecked but I know it's not gonna happen.

I'll admit it... I'm kind of a softie when it comes to animals. I like animals a lot more than I like most people. I won't normally kill them just for being animals unless they pose some type of danger to me or my dogs.
I lived in bear and mountain lion country for years and never found them to be anywhere near as dangerous as another person. If it was OK to shoot nuisance people I'd likely need a lot more ammunition than I have.

The difference is probably whether your yard has grubs or not.

I like watching Armadillos and Road Runners both, entertaining, friend of mine has a cute little armadillo that loves crickets, turn 20 lose and watch her get busy chasing them.
Road Runners hung out at our mailbox every day, dead baby copperhead remnants were common

Late evening to early morning.
Can't tell you how many times I've been on diller patrol during those times.
Or night crawlers/worms which is their favorite food.The difference is probably whether your yard has grubs or not.
