Does anyone remember that go-kart track in Ok City from back in the early/mid 60's,,,
It was way out on May avenue close to the fairgrounds.

No helmets or any gear required,,,
Just fork over your cash,,,
And drive like hell.

If I recall correctly it was $1.00 for twenty laps,,,
It was a Huge Big Deal when dad would take me and my brothers there.

When they closed down dad bought two of the well used carts,,,
They were in terrible shape but were only 20 bucks each.

They lasted one whole summer on the dirt roads behind my house.

Good times!

I don't remember those. Sounds like a heck of a time.

At one time I would have been real excited about this but I doubt that I can fit into those carts these days.
Haha. Same here. I always loved the Datsun 280Z cards, until I stood next to one and learned that it'd be a car I have to wear rather than a car I can get in.
