Do I really need a bolt 22LR?

Looking forward to taking it to the range and later putting a scope on it!
Please don't put a scope on it; use those beautiful iron sights. Besides that Hog Back stock does not give the proper cheek weld for scope use.

I have a 452 Scout with those sights on it. It's the only long gun I own that's not scoped. Give those irons a chance and you might agree with me. I love them.
In fact, when faced with the choice of losing that front sight to be able to get the barrel threaded, I just bought a whole new threaded CZ (which I scoped).

I have an entire safe row full of Winchester Model 67s and a 68. They are one of the best kids guns out there for teaching how to shoot as well as appreciate older firearms. This is why I have one for each of my kids (and one for me).

For a few hundred bucks you get a pre-64 Winchester that's still in good shape. All of mine consistently shoot 5x5 groups at 25 yards under an inch with Federal Automatch...and no serial numbers. Just saying.

Everyone should have an old bolt .22.
