I remembered this thread and thought I would share my recent experience. Sunday afternoon I was down on Lake Eufaula at Longtown and had a flat on my truck at Dollar General. I’ve been paying for AAA for years and have only used it a few times so I decided I would let them change my tire. I call and they take all the necessary information and I also gave them the actual physical address. They say probably 15 minutes but an hour max to get someone there. They also said the technician would call when they were within 15 minutes. I kick back and wait. An hour goes by and nobody is here so I called back. The dude on the phone say the technician has posted he is on site. Nope not on site I say. I’m wondering why he didn’t call if he was on site? Anyway he says he’ll check and get back with me. Another 15 minutes goes by and they call back and say he’s 15 minutes away. So a hour and a half wait and he shows up limping around. First thing out of his pie hole is he can’t get my spare out from under my truck because he is physically impaired. Great I think. I should have just done it myself. So now I’m doing most of the heavy work and he’s getting all the credit. Nobody from AAA ever contacted me to make sure I was taken care of. Anyway just wanted to share. It’s apparently not the AAA it used to be.
