Do you know what "liverwurst" is?

The other day, a woman in the deli section of my hometown Lawton Walmart asked me if she could help me find something. I said "liverwurst" She said she did not see any and the male store employee next to her said he never heard of such thing. I found it actually myself a few seconds later. It is actually branded "John Morrell Braunschweiger". Perhaps people in this part of the country aren't familiar with this product not that Walmart employees are the sharpest knife in the kitchen drawer.

I'm familiar with the product being raised on the Left Coast. The Left Coast is so called because people LEFT it in droves.

I ate it growing up in Kansas 40+ years ago. Haven't looked for it since though.

Good stuff, but causes gout flares.

Ate it growing up and miss it greatly. I was very fond of the “grobe” Version which had chunks of meat rather than the smooth texture.

I remember Liverwurst sammiches when I was a kid. Like Salmon patties, you'll never catch me eating it again.

Love that stuff. I do not eat very often as it is extremely high in fat and sodium. Also note it is a good product to use to trick your dog to take medicine.

Yes on the onion. Not so much on the Mmmmmmm! I think you could buy it at every grocery store in Oklahoma when I was a kid.
