I was in a car dealership in Norman having my bride’s car serviced. While I was waiting, another customer, a well dressed older fellow, right there was someone older than me, walked past me to refill his coffee. I couldn’t help but notice the very nice 1911, riding in a beautifully tooled leather holster. I quickly decided that I needed more coffee also. We had a very enjoyable conversation while we waited for our cars.

No, not really. Maybe if Im on the way to go shooting or something like that.
It's cool. I respect it. Just not my thing. It doesn't even have to do with it making me a target. Just as a look, I don't care for it.
I mean if you're a cowboy or have been out on the ranch all day, it looks ok. Seems appropriate. But some slacks and a button up shirt with open carry just isn't a look I'm going for LOL. Just looks kinda dorky IMO.
