I guess its the same today as it was 30+ years ago.
A big room with about 50-100 old women that had been there forever.
They each get 6-8 weeks vacation per year plus Gov't holidays and don't work weekends.

So basically that works out to each one working 2-3 days a week max!

Had one woman that everybody was complaining about waiting 2+ years on approvals and they investigated.
All her desk drawers were full and had boxes stacked under her desk full of forms.

Did they fire her? NO! Just transfered her to another department.

Lots of guys are reporting getting their Efiled Form 1s from around Christmas time on that NFA FB group.

Got mine today:

Ruger Silent-SR
Paid for it and filled out Form 4 Individual, 4-10-2018
ATF cashed my tax payment two weeks later
Approved, December 23, 2018
Form arrived at my dealer and I took possession, today, 2-08-2019
Examiner, Diane Wood

I'm sure it sat in limbo among several others, waiting for the Government Shutdown to ease up and the mail get sent to the Post Office.
