[QUOTE="BadgeBunny, post: 2289631, member: 1242"] I felt bad for this kid because obviously Mom is NOT stepping up to the plate like she should. I raised three boys by myself because for the life of me I couldn't pick a good man if I tried. Determined not to let my boys suffer because of it, I was honest with them. I never said to them "Are you sad you don't have a daddy?"or "I'm gonna go find your dad and give you to him" like I've heard other single moms do ... :censored: Instead, I made sure they had good male role models in their lives (my youngest little brother, their karate instructor, their soccer coach, etc.) and I made sure that they understood that they could grow up to be good men even if they didn't have a dad around. That sometimes life sucks the balls hanging off a bull but that was no excuse for not being a good person and doing what was right. I am proud to say I have 3 fine young men as sons. They've not always made the right decisions, or the decisions I would have made, but they walk tall, take the consequences of their actions like men, not whining, crybaby sissies always looking for someone else to blame and I love them more than life itself.
