Weird, I read a post full of many sentences and when I hit reply, it only shows two? :anyone: What I'm saying is that what you see in class is definition #2 of the word: What you're seeing in class is speculative of what should happen in real life. I.E., more untrained people carrying in public will result in more accidents and more unlawful shootings. Yet in real life (outside the controlled environment of your classroom), statistics in the seven states with some form of CC do not bear this out. That's why I posted the GIF showing the inexorable trend towards more people carrying overall, and CC expanding even more rapidly. Also keep in mind that Vermont has been continuously running this experiment for just over 224 years. They simply don't support your speculation, regardless of what you see in a classroom. Additionally, despite a "dwindling gun culture" in America, firearms accidents have been on a continuous decline since records started being kept in 1903. http://www.nssf.org/PDF/research/IIR_InjuryStatistics2013.pdf In summary, I've already stated that training is important and valuable (see posts 5, 15 & 44). I also want to see the SDA license and training requirements left intact (post 18), so that we can keep as many reciprocal concealed carry states as possible. All I've ever said is that government mandated training in order to exercise your 2nd Amendment RIGHT to keep AND BEAR arms is wrong. It always has been and ever shall be. I really don't see how any true 2nd Amendment supporter could disagree? :anyone: P.S. Do you realize that citizens of those states with CC can legally carry in OK without a permit? How much sense does it make for citizens of other states to have more freedom in Oklahoma than Oklahomans??? :disappoin
