I was always intrigued by a pair of handguns a find of mine owned,,,
Well it was his Dad who actually owned them.

This was back in 1960's high school.

The Dad had a revolver that fired .38 Special,,,
The son had an identical revolver that fired .22 LR.

I always thought that was just a very cool thing for a father and son to have.

When I finally got to the point where I could buy the guns I wanted,,,
The first thing I did was acquire a matching set similar to theirs.

I purchased a S&W Model 15 in .38 Special,,,
And a S&W Model 18 in .22 LR.

Meet Stella (model 15) and Didi (model 18).

Over the past few years I have collected 11 matching pairs,,,
I was just wondering if anyone else did this as well.

If so, I would love to see some pictures of your rimfire/centerfire pairs.

Here's another pair to tantalize you with.

Meet Charybdis (Taurus 22-PLY) and Scylla (Taurus 25-PLY).

Click here to read about the mythological characters.

These little mouse guns are in .22 LR and .25 ACP,,,
And they are so dang much fun to shoot.

Taurus got the ergonomics right with these girls,,,
They are natural pointers and are very easy to hit with.

The best part is they are very reliable,,,
The 25-PLY has never failed me,,,
I've fired near 500 rounds.

The 22-PLY gave me some trouble at first,,,
But after about 200 rounds of Mini Mags,,,
The action broke in and it runs perfectly.

Fun guns to own and shoot.

Just one more pair to try and get this thread rolling.

This pair is my pride and joy,,,
I just love taking these ladies to the range.

CZ-75B in 9mm and CZ-75B Kadet in .22 LR.

I'm working on the wooden case for them,,,
I want them to be cased as eloquently as old time dueling pistols.

Well, that shows ow much (or little) I know about S&W pistols.

Here's another one of my matched pairs,,,
Lynn is a Bersa Thunder .22
Vanessa is a Bersa Thunder 380

I named them after the Redgrave sisters,,,
As they are both silver-haired lovelies.

The sisters are both terribly anti-gun,,,
I like the irony of their being namesakes for handguns.

These pistols have proven themselves to be extremely reliable,,,
I find the SA/DA action to be perfect for training newbies,,,
The de-cocker is also a big plus in my book.

Three young ladies and one young man have used these pistols to qualify for their Oklahoma Carry Permit,,,
Many others of both gender have been introduced to shooting with this pair.

Hello adamsredlines:

That is definitely one way cool pairing,,,
It looks like the barrel lengths match as well.

That's been a bugaboo in my collecting,,,
Sometimes it's just not possible to get matching barrel lengths.

Those beauties just beg for a felt-lined wooden storage/presentation case.

Thanks for posting those beauties.
