Does anyone else collect rimfire/centerfire pairs?

Here's an odd pair,,,
Not a rimfire/centerfire pair,,,
More of a Daddy/Daughter pair of rifles.

Not that great of a picture though,,,
Henry Acu-Bolt single-shot .22 rifle,,,
Henry Mini-Bolt single-shot .22 rifle.

Last year I took a friend and his 6 or 7 year old daughter to my range,,,
After a good safety briefing and a bit of instruction on aiming,,,
The two of them went through half a brick plinking cans.

I got to enjoy being the facilitator of a very cool Daddy/Daughter event.

Here's a pair I'm especially fond of,,,
Meet Allegra (Latin for Lively), my Beretta Cheetah, Model 87,,,
And Alessia (Latin for Protector), my Beretta Cheetah, Model 85.

I had wanted a Cheetah in .22 LR for a very long time,,,
I swear that Beretta took a mold of my hands before designing these guns.

But I was having problems justifying the cost for the pistol,,,
But then I went into The Evil Pawn Shop and saw the used Model 85.

He let me have it for an out-the-door price of $395.00,,,
Then since I had the centerfire in my possession,,,
It seemed only logical to order the Model 87.

Logical, don't ya think?

A range acquaintance of mine tried to wear Allegra out one day,,,
I let him shoot a few mags through her and he was hooked,,,
He ended up putting well over 100 rounds through her.

His comment was,,,
"It's a real pistol, that happens to be chambered for .22 LR."

I couldn't agree more,,,
Alessia commonly lives in my briefcase holster,,,
Allegra is one of my range toys that sees more time than others.

Nice try! You know how hard those 8 3/8" 617's are to find. Luckily I was able to score this one for a song at the Tulsa show earlier this month.
